Sample Layouts & Templates

  • Justin

How do I get the three column articles with the big thumbnail? My thumbnails right now are much smaller.

    • edwardrj

To use the magazine layout, check the box under “disable excerpt” in the Tweaks section of the options panel. This expands the thumbnail automatically without distortion. If you want to use the three-column view on the home page, check the “Hide Sidebar” box in the options panel.

Hi, saw your template via the Tillamook Pioneer hyperlocal news site. I’m looking at the business version upgrade for my site. Do you have any examples of a layout with a 720×98 ad atop the ‘column’ layout for the header. Also if I put a 300×600 banner ad in the right column, will I still be able to have a left column with a featured story and two columns of thumbnails and summaries below while maintaining repsonsiveness? I don’t need the slider. For individual posts, I’d like the ‘blog’ format with two columns. But I like the ‘magazine’ style home page.

    • edwardrj

Hi John, I’ve left the ad spots out of the screenshots to showcase the design elements, but all of the examples you mention will work just fine with NewsFrame Pro.

  • Eli

If we upgrade to NewsFrame Pro is it possible to have separate posts under different pages? In other words, having “two blogs” running at the same time pretty much?

    • edwardrj

This is possible in either version but requires making a new template. Shoot me an email if you don’t have a dev.

  • Eli

Is there a way on regular NewsFrame theme to completely take off the “search” option on top of the page?

  • bill

we use three sites , one for western pa, central pa, and eastern pa, why when we use rss widgets on the right bar, do some of them update the news of one site faster than another site when werwe hosting on the same server???

  • bill

I should say the central pa site for example uses an rss from the western and eastern sites to syndicate our news to out other sites for our test project.

    • edwardrj

Hi Bill, this sounds like a generic WordPress issue rather than an issue with NewsFrame Pro. I recommend posting your problem in the support forums with full details to see if someone can help.
